How long does it take for units to ship, and why?

Thank you, for being a loyal customer, and thank you for your patience. With the exception of our Salonvelope Units, all of the units in our collection are handmade, here in the US. While we would love to produce them more  quickly, we have to maintain our commitment to quality. We create thousands of units, but each one is created with care by the well trained human hands of our committed staff members. Please know that we appreciate each and every order, and while we are aware that we live in a fast-paced society where it’s ordinary to place an order in the morning and receive it that afternoon in many cases. FINGERCOMBER is not in that lane. We occupy a space where we understand, as black creatives, the authentic vibe and rhythm of our texture of hair, and our process is careful, mindful and artisanal. Again, we would love it if we could wrap all of that up in a machine, and just crank these wigs out, but we would lose our flavor. We love you, for your patience, and we hope you find your unit worth the wait.

The Fingercomber Unit is a custom hand-working, that is individually made to order (in America).  It is not a mass produced item.  Each unit is crafted by a member of the Fingercomber Artisan Atelier.  Each one of our members is a seasoned professional at his or her craft, with no less than ten years of experience as a natural hair care professional. Each Unit is made with patience, care, meticulous attention to detail, and love of craft.

When your unit order is received, It takes up to 2 business days to process the order.  At that time, our units are taking minimum 15 business days for the unit to be crafted, and inspected by a senior designer.  This does not include weekends, holidays and inclement weather. Once the unit passes inspection, it is packaged by hand, and shipped.

Have a Shipping Upgrade Promo Code?

The shipping code that you used provides you with a shipping upgrade from standard shipping to USPS Priority shipping. Standard shipping is notoriously slow, particularly during the busy holiday season. Priority shipping  runs about 2 days on domestic orders. Our offer is to give this upgrade at no additional cost, in order to get your goodies at your doorstep more quickly.

Priority Mail not fast enough? We now offer USPS priority mail express shipping upon request. You must contact customer service to receive a quote. The quote has to be paid in full through PayPal before the fastest shipping service can be added to your order. Priority Express Mail is only offered to customers in the United States.

FINGERCOMBER shipping-informationWhen your order is shipped, you will receive a notice that your request has been forwarded, and you will receive order confirmation within 24 hours from Pay-pal.  Once your unit has been shipped, you will then receive tracking information from us.  The postmaster can take up to 4 days to update the USPS tracking system, and there have been cases where a client receives her unit before it shows up in the postmasters update.

It typically takes 1-2 business days to process your order.  Orders are shipped Monday through Friday, excluding weekends, holidays and inclement weather.  We do NOT process and ship orders the same day except the Quick-ship items ( can not be combined with Units) placed before 12 pm (EST)

 Please allow up to 2 business days for orders to be processed ( If you order any item after 12pm(EST), except a Unit on Monday, your order ship out on Tuesday or Wednesday). You will receive a tracking number once your order ships.

Due to extensive hand working involved  in their production, our Units ship within 7-10 business days of your order being processed.

Tracking Your Order

Once your payment has cleared, you will receive an e-mail when your order has been processed (this may take up to 48 hours). You will receive a second confirmation e-mail once your order has shipped which will include your tracking number to track the journey of your package.  If there is a problem with your tracking number or package delivery, please contact the courier directly prior to contacting us. Please contact us after the estimated delivery time.

International buyers please be advised: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.

Note: We are not responsible if the package is not delivered in the guaranteed shipping times as it takes 1-2 business days to process the order and we cannot be held liable for USPS or UPS guarantees.  If the item is not delivered in time, please contact USPS ( 1800-ASK-USPS) All of our shipments include Tracking with Delivery Confirmation. If the tracking information confirms that the item has been delivered to your order address but you have not receive your order.please contact USPS ( 1800-ASK-USPS) in order to investigate this issue. We cannot be held accountable for packages where tracking information states that the package has been delivered to your order address.

The international shipments will sometimes display as NOT FOUND depending on the type of service selected.
